Claudia Paz Lighting Studio / Founder and Design Director
Claudia Paz studied architecture in Lima, Peru, in her last year of study, she discovered lighting when working for a Targetti distributor, and it became her passion.
Without any lighting Design degrees in Peru, Claudia taught herself and established her independent studio in 2001 dedicated to architecture & lighting then later renamed “Lighting Design Studio” in 2009. The studio portfolio is extensive, from Heritage Lighting with a Cathedral and the Government Palace of Peru among other many churches, Retail Lighting, Hotels, and Restaurants Lighting, to Interactive Lighting, like the National Stadium, and awarded projects such as the BCP Affinity Interactive art piece and the Light Garden Interactive Installation.
Claudia constant research to achieve a unique solution for each client integrating architectural lighting design, technology, and art, has made the studio work recognized internationally and her career has been internationally highlighted with several awards for outstanding projects. Claudia dedicated part of her time to participating in seminars and conferences around the world, where she can share her passion for light and talk about the approach of the studio.
