Entry Description

Influenced by the austere and spectacular Icelandic nature, the hallways that connect guest quarters of boutique Icelandic hotel, ION City Hotel, contain lighting design integrated in the walls.
The Infinity illuminating hallways mimic the seemingly endless landscape of the Icelandic countryside. Inspired by the hot lava flows that carve into the rugged topography of the country, intersecting lines of light cut through the vast blackened field, gradually illuminating the hallways from dark to light as guests move through them creating a memorizing experience.
