Entry Description

The master plan is divided into 3 zones; Welcoming area with the lobby, the main facility building, and the Airstream accommodations. The guest areas are encircled by curve walls to define private areas. These walls help leading the eyes from the entrance towards the project and reveal lush landscape that wraps around the architectures.

The landscape lighting intent was to highlight the trees. The light fixtures with wide beam angle also cast the shadows of those plants onto the curved walls and created visual interest. Warm white colour temperatures were adopted to give intimate mood. High lux level and powerful tree uplights were implemented around the main entrance and public areas to attract attention. Lower lux level, shielded light fixtures with low power were used in the areas closer to the Airstreams to minimize disturbing light and glare into the area.

The curved wall from the landscape delineated the main connecting spinal axis through the lobby and the main facility building. Thus, they were illuminated to create a continuation between interior and exterior. The lit wall also shaped the silhouettes of the feature geometric columns and roofs to be seen during nighttime.
