Entry Description

The Four Seasons Astir Palace Athens undertook a complete overhaul. The Astir Palace Resort opened in 1958 and evolved into a major resort in the 60s. While structural elements and some of the exterior walls were retained, both buildings, Arion and Nafsika, were fully renovated.
Arion’s interior is soft and fresh, and the lighting embraces a distinctly sophisticated atmosphere. The palette of finishes uses sandy hues while the lighting adopts a minimal approach with all elements integrated within both the joinery and architectural details of the building’s envelope. The newly lit façade provides a balanced backdrop to the external presentation.
Nafsika’s interior lighting is dramatic and modern, with bold decorative gestures highlighting its livelier atmosphere. The jewel-like pendants in the Avra Lounge as you enter the reception area creates visual impact. Nafsika’s signature feature is its marble slatted corridors. They are front and backlit with a careful balance, becoming an elegantly lit canvas. Nafsika’s façade has a robust appearance. These rectilinear geometries were framed at the slab edge with a small marker of light and further highlight with a soft wash of light.
