Entry Description

For the lighting design project of Atsui Restaurant in São Paulo (Brazil), a very intimate atmosphere was designed with dark finishes and projectors on rails with a marked beam of light. The lighting design was incorporated into the furniture, and the sconces and industrial pendants on the tables complete the scene. The leading star of the architecture project is the vertical garden on the right side of the restaurant, with a double-height standard. The green wall extends itself to the outer wall and is highlighted by projectors. On the façade, linear floor lamps mark the entrance as well as the highlighted flash with the restaurant's logo. Some lighting design solutions make this project very unique and innovative. The dimmable lamps and their automation system provide a higher level of lighting during the day as well as an intimate atmosphere at night. The central counter was lit with a pendant lamp designed especially for this area. It was made from a perforated wire mesh with an embedded micro lamp and a well-concentrated beam of light, covering the diameter of each plate on the counter. In the bathrooms, the lighting was all designed by the baseboard along the whole perimeter.
