Entry Description

As a crucial window for showcasing the city's image, Sichuan Broadcasting Television Station's waiting hall was designed with lighting that combines installation art and spatial illumination to meet the needs of enhancing the station's brand image and supporting large-scale events. Drawing inspiration from Sichuan's regional culture—symbolized by "flowing rivers" and the concept of "tracing upstream," the design extracts elements like "fish schools" from natural landscapes.
The fish school installation art lights serve as the visual focal point, while the red background wall enhances the ambiance, creating a rich and dynamic visual hierarchy. The fish school installation art lights and red wall were equipped with high-color-rendering (RA95) and low-color-temperature (2700K) lighting to maximize the saturation and color accuracy of the red hue. The rooftop starlight and plant lighting, using 5000K color temperatures, further accentuates the spatial depth. The fish school installation art lights and rooftop starlight points exhibit a dynamic breathing effect. The fish school installation art lights in the hall are arranged from bottom to top, where looking up from the floor reveals the fish school pattern—mirroring the station's logo. This design not only bestows the space with iconic appeal and playful charm but also elevates the station's brand image in a fresh and engaging manner.
Sustainability Approach

The waiting hall, as a crucial area connecting various program production zones, demands higher requirements for the functionality and professionalism of its lighting. The ground illuminance must exceed 400 Lux. Through intelligent control, a sense of light flow is created, with lighting fixtures managed by a DMX512 smart control system to meet the needs of different time periods. During the day, we utilize artificial light to intervene in the space at different times, ensuring effective performance. At night, lighting modes such as Bright (80% output), Soft (50% output), and Energy-saving (30% output) enhance the space's humanization. The intelligent control system contributes to sustainable energy savings for these varying lighting scenarios with different functional needs.
