Entry DescriptionThe name Amphora was taken from ancient Greek and Roman practices where an “Amphora” was considered a ceramic vessel used to store oil and wine. In this case, inspiration for the piece stems from the idea of a seed pod. Our solid bronze vessel of light is capable of directing its light source in any direction depending where it is faced and can be displayed as a singular or collection of Amphora’s.
The chandelier's revolutionary modular construction allows infinite configuration possibilities through articulated joints that can be adjusted to complement any architectural space. Each bronze element features our signature patinated finish, creating rich textural depth through controlled oxidation processes that ensure every installation is utterly unique.
The design's genius lies in its adjustable light direction capability - each pod can be oriented to cast illumination in precise vectors, creating dramatic interplay between warm glows and architectural shadows. This technical sophistication is concealed within an organic, seed-pod-inspired form that appears to have grown naturally within the space.
Amphora's scalability enables installations from intimate residential settings to grand commercial spaces, while its solid bronze construction ensures generational longevity. The piece exemplifies our philosophy that lighting should function as both illumination and art.
