Entry DescriptionThe lamp draws its inspiration from the world of robotics, blending mechanical precision with a living presence. Through the use of two eye-like elements, it gains an animalistic character, as if it were alive. The aluminum profiles form a body-like structure, while the head completes its lifelike appearance, creating a design that feels both engineered and instinctive.
Crafted from 25 mm by 4 mm aluminum profiles, each piece was cut and hand-finished with care. 3D-printed components bring intricate details to life, while a solid iron weight in the base provides stability, grounding the lamp’s unique form in both function and presence.
Sustainability ApproachThe design embraces a sustainable approach by utilizing durable, long-lasting materials such as aluminum and iron, ensuring the lamp’s extended lifespan and reducing the need for replacement. The use of 3D printing enables precise production with minimal material waste, while hand-finishing eliminates the reliance on large-scale manufacturing processes. Components are designed for easy disassembly, allowing for repair, replacement, or recycling at the end of the product’s life. This combination of material choice, efficient fabrication, and modular construction reflects a commitment to both environmental responsibility and thoughtful design.
