Entry DescriptionCD CONCERT LIVE reimagines the modern LiveHouse by blending retro aesthetics with intelligent lighting technology. Guided by the concept “Light as Experience,” lighting becomes an emotional and narrative medium, shaping rhythm, atmosphere, and audience engagement to create a fully immersive performance environment.
The Uniimport UIP Smart Lighting System integrates Bluetooth Mesh and PLC hybrid networks, synchronizing dual-color spotlights, RGBW dynamic light strips, low-frequency vibration speakers, and custom interactive fixtures. This allows lighting, sound, and motion to pulse in harmony, amplifying performer energy and audience participation.
A highlight is the custom Spotlight Device, an interactive installation within the audience area. When activated, beams focus downward, seats vibrate with the bass, and surrounding lights respond dynamically to tempo changes, transforming spectatorship into a tactile, participatory experience that deepens performer-audience connection.
Materiality and atmosphere are layered with semi-transparent red acrylic, brushed stainless steel, and frosted glass. RGB light films and ultra-thin COB strips define circulation paths and transitions, balancing nostalgic warmth with modern brightness. CD CONCERT LIVE elevates the conventional LiveHouse into a participatory cultural space, defining a new style for immersive nightlife design.
Sustainability ApproachCD CONCERT LIVE integrates sustainability into its lighting design through energy-efficient and low-impact solutions. LED and low-power lighting fixtures, including RGBW light strips, COB modules, and mini spotlights, reduce energy consumption while maintaining high-quality illumination. Modular and programmable lighting systems allow scene-based operation, optimizing energy use during performances, cleaning, or idle periods. Many fixtures, such as the custom Spotlight Devices and glass globe lamps, were designed for durability and long service life, minimizing material waste and maintenance. Reusable materials, including acrylic, stainless steel, and glass, were prioritized, supporting circular design principles. Overall, the project balances immersive visual experience with energy efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and long-term adaptability.
