Entry DescriptionThese cylindrical downlights reimagine the architectural pendant: compact, elegant, high-performance luminaires that offer artistry and efficiency in equal measure. Harnessing the power of additive manufacturing (3D printing), PrentaLux cylinders provide lighting designers with unprecedented creative freedom to bring their vision to life while maintaining precise control and exceptional light quality.
Available in 2", 3", and 6" diameters, each fixture features an integral LED light engine with 90+ CRI across four color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K), multiple lumen levels, and a choice of optical distributions—spot, medium, narrow flood, and flood —so that designers can shape light and mood with finesse. Texture options range from the standard micro-woven to honed “iced out” and vertical fluted textures; housing and trim colors include a broad palette of standard and on-demand hues.
Beyond visual impact, these cylinders embody a forward-looking approach to responsible design. Lightweight, efficient, and crafted with bio-circular materials, they reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. Their versatility, visual comfort, and refined detail redefine what a pendant cylinder can achieve, marrying elegance, performance, and sustainability.
Sustainability ApproachThis family of 3D-printed cylinders is engineered for circularity and reduced environmental impact. Printed components contain at least 75% recycled or bio-circular plastics sourced through ISCC-Plus certified mass-balance systems, such as tall-oil from wood processing and used cooking oil. Production is local and on-demand, eliminating excess inventory and lowering transport emissions. Designs use up to 40% fewer components, simplifying assembly, disassembly, and end-of-life recycling.
Lightweight construction reduces shipping energy footprint, while high-efficiency LED engines deliver energy savings, extending fixture lifetimes and cutting carbon emissions over time. With no glue, paint, or potting, these luminaires are easier to repair, refresh, and recycle. Full transparency is supported through Declare labeling, disclosing all ingredients and residuals at or above 0.01% by weight.
