Entry Description

In this project, our challenge was to merge architecture, branding, experience design, and healthcare workflows into a cohesive and human-centered environment. The ceiling became the unifying element, its curves accentuated by light, guiding visitors fluidly through the clinic while amplifying the spatial identity.
Light was chosen as the connector: it directs movement, highlights form, and shapes perception. Different lighting scenarios were designed to respond to human behavior and emotional states, offering calming, uplifting, or focused atmospheres at each stage of the patient journey. We analyzed daylight, shadows, and the sun’s rhythm to integrate a natural play of light and shadow into the spatial narrative.
Through custom LED surface lighting, we recreated the qualities of daylight in a futuristic yet organic setting. This approach not only enriches textures and spatial flow but also creates a healthcare experience unlike any other transforming a dental clinic into an immersive journey where light, nature, and technology converge.
Sustainability Approach

Our sustainability approach focused on efficiency, longevity, and human well-being. Custom LED lighting replicates daylight with minimal energy use, while adaptive scenarios reduce excess consumption by adjusting intensity to need and time of day. The integrated ceiling design extends spatial longevity, avoiding frequent renovations and material waste. Surfaces were chosen to maximize light diffusion, reducing the number of fixtures required. Beyond ecology, we see sustainability as human-centered: creating calm, stress-reducing environments that support emotional and physical health within healthcare.
