Entry Description

A light-filled atrium forms the heart of the four-story building, serving as a representative stage for the decors of a global market leader. At times subtle, at times accentuated, precise lighting highlights the diversity and delicacy of surfaces, creating unique atmospheres. The atrium acts as a resonance chamber: it orchestrates warm LED light in deceptively real wooden slats, adding emotional depth against the cool exposed concrete. When the atrium, combined with the adjacent conference hall, transforms into a concert hall, pre-programmed lighting scenarios create varied moods. The lighting design makes corporate values palpable – in harmony with the architecture.
Sustainability Approach

The planning process required a completely new approach: each LED was positioned individually and each lens tested until the warm, upward-directed light illuminated the surface. Instead of relying on technical CRI values, extensive sample setups on site led to the optimal solution. Only the visual inspection of all components enabled the perfect interplay of light color, color rendering, and surface effect.
This way, we achieve not only our visual goals but also our sustainability goals. Precise lighting with precisely matched luminaires/LEDs, and not a bit too much.
