Entry Description

PROJECT
A historic town house in Feldkirch Austria, was converted into a modern jewelry store with great care and attention to detail. Zones requiring high demands for light are created. With a combination of direct and diffuse light, the lighting does justice to the space while discreetly being integrated into the outstanding architecture. In the showcase and exhibition vitrines, lighting fixtures are concealed, yet variable and highly precise to illuminate the exquisite products. The materials and colors of architecture and lighting merge as one identity.

SOLUTION APPROACH
The planning included the lighting of all central areas of the jewelry store, including the sales floor, the elegant display cases, the shop windows and an integrated bar. The latter was designed as an atmospheric retreat - a so-called “black box” - that invites customers to enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Each of these zones was equipped with a specific lighting solution that optimally supports its respective function and immerses the room in a luxurious ambience.
Sustainability Approach

The lighting concept for this private property was developed with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency. The design not only addresses functional and aesthetic aspects but is also part of a carefully considered, resource-conscious overall concept. The project relies exclusively on energy-saving LED technology and ensures that only as much light is used as truly needed—avoiding unnecessary energy consumption. Through intelligent zoning and adaptive dimming strategies, the lighting responds to the changing needs throughout the day, offering both comfort and atmosphere while promoting environmental awareness.
