Entry DescriptionMolfar is a restaurant where light becomes the central element of the interior and a symbol of Ukrainian craftsmanship. For this project, we created two unique light-glass sculptures, crafted in our glassblowing workshop.
The brightest object of the interior is our signature light-glass chandelier, designed and produced especially for Molfar. Its concept is rooted in the symbolism of the molfar — a fusion of mirrors as a mystical element, fire, and plant motifs. Mirror details are set at different angles, creating multiple reflections of the “fiery” elements, like a magical spell of light. Within the depths of amber shades and warm shimmers, one can discern textures reminiscent of herbs, smoke, and flowing flames. This union of mirror and fire evokes a sense of cozy mystery, infusing the space with magic. And in the restaurant, there are two of them!
The second focal point is a true caustic “cigar,” a glass vessel holding two independent light sources. The effect is as if smoke is floating inside, painting waves across the walls and ceiling. This luminous pattern constantly shifts, depending on the time of day.
