Entry DescriptionIn Dew is a bespoke chandelier inspired by the quiet elegance of nature. Handcrafted in the UK using a double-blown glass technique, the piece features a mix of clear and ocean-blue glass globes, suspended at varying heights to form a cloud-like silhouette. Designed to be a sculptural focal point during the day and transform into a luminous chandelier during the evening hours, the piece is a living artwork that transitions with the light.
Viewed in the daylight, the crystalline clarity of the glass evokes a sense of stillness and quiet elegance. As dusk descends, the blue tones of the glass are enhanced as light emanates across the individual forms, casting an ambient glow of illumination throughout the space. The effect is transformational, creating a soft, ethereal glow.
Each glass component has been crafted through a double-blown, free-form technique that allows the molten glass to be manipulated into unique, intricate shapes. This method offers greater artistic freedom, with the scope to infuse originality and refined detail into every element.
A single LED module is concealed in each decorative component and features a sand-blasted diffuser and a custom-spun case with a polished satin nickel finish. The light sources are dimmable and emit a warm yet clean quality of light.
