Entry DescriptionKorum is an ambient light with an integrated mirror, part of the Korum family designed by Karim Rashid for Cini&Nils. Inspired by the word corum, meaning “shield,” the collection was conceived to create soft, gentle light that enhances the atmosphere of contemporary spaces.
The fixture distinguishes itself with a mirrored front surface, transforming the luminaire into both a source of light and a functional furnishing element. It can be installed either on the wall or suspended from the ceiling, offering remarkable versatility and making it especially suited to environments that value multifunctionality and refined design.
The new glossy and flip paint finishes amplify its three-dimensionality, enriching the interplay between light, form, and reflection.
With its sculptural presence, Korum transcends traditional lighting: it is at once a lamp, a mirror, and a design statement, embodying Karim’s vision of harmonizing aesthetics and function in everyday living.
Sustainability ApproachKorum was designed with a conscious approach to sustainability, combining durable materials, energy efficiency, and timeless design. The body is crafted from aluminium, a material that is 100% recyclable and infinitely reusable without losing quality, ensuring that the product can have a second life at the end of its cycle.
Equipped with LED technology (35W / 220–240V / 2,200 lm), Korum offers high luminous efficiency with low energy consumption, contributing to reduced environmental impact over time. LEDs also extend product lifespan compared to traditional lighting, minimizing maintenance and waste.
The fixture meets IP20 and Insulation Class I standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability, while its CE and UKCA certifications reflect compliance with rigorous European and UK regulations for performance and sustainability.
