Entry Description

The Tetra collection is a family of sconces that scatter light into a myriad of colours and intensities. Their minimalistic body - inspired by the Tetragonal crystal system - was conceived as an instrument for light to play with.
The extended dimension of the brass profiles allows the light beams to reflect repeatedly within the lamp body, producing captivating light effects that are projected into the surrounding environment. The multiple colours displayed are the result of carefully calibrated optics and brasswork proportions, as the lightsource is a single integrated 2700K LED.

The elegant proportions of these sconces are enriched by a fine brushed finish of the outside faces. The inside ones are left at the raw state, displaying a high reflectivity typical of industrial brass extrusion processes. When light reflects onto the raw surfaces, it acquires a materiality that sets the effects apart from digital projections.

The overall result is a light painting, in which the decorative patterns embrace a space that goes far beyond the physical presence of the sconce. By reinterpreting the invisible order of nature, we aim to make its fascinating qualities readable to the human eye, while transforming spaces into warm and relaxing ambiances.

Sustainability Approach

Our mission as designers and manufacturers is to support skilled artisans in order to preserve traditional crafts and influence its development. The brass we use for this collection are the leftovers of industrial profiles employed in the construction industry. These are worked only by hand, minimizing waste production.

Durability is a key focus in the development of all our products. They are assembled only with mechanical fixings, meaning they can be taken apart easily for repair and replacement of their electrical components. They are equipped with the latest generation of LED sources, with a long lifespan, low consumption and high lumen output.
