Entry Description

Located in the hill of Dago Pakar, Bandung, this hotel becomes the new iconic building in the area. We are appointed for both exterior and interior lighting and involved from the concept stage through the completion. The interior design is inspired by the local neighborhood and its natural beauty. We create a lighting design that is sympathetic to the interiors and that emphasises the intricate features and rich textures.
The lighting in lobby area is very important as it forms the first impression of the hotel. The double height space in the lobby is accented by “tree-shaped” columns. These tree-shaped feature columns are highlighted with recessed floor uplight and concealed linear LED light at upper parts. The large bespoke decorative lighting above the bar lounge is installed perfectly above the glowing bottle display. Concealed linear LED light gently washes the front of the counter.
Concealed linear LED lights are used predominantly throughout the spaces from lobby area to guestrooms. The lighting design provides drama, depth and fluidity to the various connecting spaces with carefully placed and concealed lighting that draws on the various interior details such as integrated lighting into wall panels, display showcase and furniture. Ceiling recessed downlights are used to highlight artwork, tables and points of interaction, such as the check-in desks.
Sustainability Approach

Warm white LED fixtures are specified and installed in the majority of spaces. Dimming control system is installed to give the flexibility required for the lighting to suit the hotel’s need throughout the day, as well as to reduce energy. The control system is linked to astronomical time clock that automatically sets the lighting scenes during daytime and night time for all open spaces. There are control panels within each enclosed room, i.e. Ballroom, Meeting Rooms, to allow further control of the lighting should the users wish to change the lighting scene, or raise/lower the light levels.
