Entry DescriptionIn collaboration with Anatolia College, we designed light that inspires. Our lighting approach brings life to the College’s commitment to knowledge, creativity, and connection from the serenity of the library to the vibrancy of student spaces.
The lighting study of the Pinewood International school emphasizes in creating a comfortable and functional learning environment. In the classrooms and common spaces, the lighting design aims to prevent glare and ensure uniform distribution of light to promote visual comfort and focus. The used of ascent lighting systems in the atriums and connecting spaces enhances the spatial experience, while creating a dialogue with the openness of the interior and the natural surroundings.
The building façade louvers remain dark and the interior lighting becomes the main illumination as a nod the use of the space and its public character. The movement of people inside becomes the main night scene that reflects to the campus inviting connection.
In the outdoor spaces and courtyards, the lighting strategy was developed to compliment the landscape design, highlighting the historic garden and providing adequate illumination to encourage social interaction. The lighting fixtures used in the stadium keep lighting pollution at a minimum and balance aesthetics and functionality while providing appropriate lighting levels without disturbing the suroundings.
