Entry DescriptionThe lighting design of Jiuhuashan Station, guided by the concept “Wisdom Unfolds, Light Enlightens Jiuhua,” integrates Buddhist culture and regional identity to create a spiritual and cultural gateway. The project includes the main station, supporting facilities, and the square, with lighting carefully layered to present Jiuhua’s unique nighttime image. The station building draws inspiration from Lotus Peak and the Moon Palace Hall, using golden aluminum panels and white stone to form a dignified Chinese-style gateway. Eaves are envisioned as scripture scrolls, illuminated with 2700K light and custom amber tones to express the Buddhist “Universal Radiance,” shaping an atmosphere of compassion and virtue.
Lighting is seamlessly integrated with architecture and façades, with fixtures concealed to achieve “light without lamps,” highlighting nighttime order while preserving daytime purity. A DMX512 system precisely controls linear eave lights with eight nodes per meter, simulating the unfolding of scriptures, while cornice lighting mimics flickering oil lamps, adding narrative detail. Landscape lighting follows the “two axes, one core” structure, with warm light emphasizing the central lotus installation and gradual transitions outward. Localized colored light creates themes such as “Filial Piety” and “Great Vows,” enriching ritual and cultural expression.
