Entry DescriptionHarbin Creative Design Center (HDC) is located in the beautiful ice city of Harbin and was officially established in December 2022. The center not only has design studios and a design museum, but also has functional spaces such as the IP Innovation FabLab laboratory, Rural Revitalization Laboratory, and Design Gallery. The design concept of this case aims to fill the entire space with light, emphasizing the trend of symbol projection from the inside out, creating a natural silhouette effect of letters and enhancing the impact of irregular shapes in the space. Using various methods such as natural lighting, lightboxes, and indirect lighting, create an ethereal and spiritually rich experiential space. In the low meeting space, we combine interior design language and use techniques such as light film to constantly change and continue design elements in the space. The overall lighting is mainly focused on the top, giving people a sense of upward force when looking up. This design not only enhances the vertical hierarchy of the space, but also provides visitors with a unique visual experience.
Sustainability ApproachAt the same time, in practical scenarios in the middle and lower parts, HDC also fully considers the requirements for key lighting and visual contrast. Adopting more concealed and diversified lighting methods to shape the overall sense of form. This design makes the entire space appear more complete. On the exterior of the building, due to construction limitations, we did not make any changes to the overall facade lighting, only emphasizing the lighting of the window and entrance with the "D" symbol. The window section is illuminated with hose light strips for emphasis, while the glass brick arch at the entrance uses a dual light output method of buried LED line lights and light strips to ensure sufficient lighting hierarchy and visual appeal.
