Entry Description

"Ring of Life" is a large-scale outdoor new media lighting installation. It combines visual artistry and interactive human experience. The concept is a philosophical idea: “harmonious coexistence of heaven, earth, human”, an immersive space that cross boundaries between reality and fantasy.

The ring above symbolize sky, sun or heaven. The ground LED screen symbolize earth. The moveable ball in the middle symbolize“fruit of life”, as a bridge connecting “heaven” and “earth”. These parts complement each other, together creating a feel of grand universe, the mysterious almighty. People walk along the stairs into the center, a temple of light and shadow, sacred, cosmic dimension, experiencing infinite charm.

The AI technology can create up to 10 million shinny dot particles of energy as a vortex. The lights change itself in many ways in shape, density and brightness. As people move around and touch the ground, creating a responsive interaction. The scattering light effect aims for more tangible sense and quality.
