Entry DescriptionPoint of Singularity is the first 360° AV installation inside a full-sphere LED structure.
Blending science, art, and technology, the installation offers an artistic interpretation of the stages of the Universe’s birth.
This journey unfolds as a sequence of stages: from cosmic inflation and the formation of the four fundamental forces to the clash between matter and antimatter, the birth of stars, the emergence of black holes, and the event horizon. Its finale guides the viewer from chaos to life and the awareness of their place in the cosmos. The six-minute show is based on the Big Bang theory, developed in collaboration with a team of physicists and scientific consultants.
The installation was realized inside a full-format LED sphere with a continuous 314 m² screen surface, built from 6,281 LED modules. The 34-ton structure—towering as high as a three-story building—was assembled on a steel frame with an internal bridge for spectators. Visitors find themselves at the geometric and conceptual center of the piece, visually experiencing the birth of the Universe.
The visuals, designed specifically for the form and scale of the sphere, are paired with an immersive soundscape that deepens the experience.
The installation premiered at the INTERVALS media art festival and later appeared at the Biennale of Environmental Art, attracting 25,000 visitors in 3,5 months.
