Entry DescriptionMEUTE’s live performances are a fusion of acoustic energy and electronic rhythm, where brass, percussion, and mallet instruments replace the DJ booth. The lighting and video design operates as a living partner to the music — reacting, shaping, and amplifying each moment in real time. There is no playback, no pre-recorded sequences; every visual choice exists only in the performance itself.
Bertil Mark acts as the connective artistic eye, unifying lighting, visuelles, and spatial design into a cohesive, evolving visual narrative. Silhouettes, rhythmic movement, and chromatic shifts translate the band’s energy into immersive, spatially felt emotion, creating a dialogue between musicians, audience, and space.
Sustainability is integral to the practice: MEUTE tours with a compact floor set, minimizing transport and material use. On site, local technical resources are adapted and creatively reconfigured, breathing new life into each venue without constructing new infrastructure. Each performance is thus a collaboration with both the space and its local ecosystem, demonstrating that innovation, artistry, and ecological responsibility can coexist on a live stage.
The work exists as a singular, ephemeral moment — a visual and sonic organism that lives only while the music is being made.
