Entry DescriptionThe lighting design for the 2025 Golden Melody Awards drew inspiration from the event’s main visual motif — the hexagonal screw, symbolizing structure and connection. This geometric idea became the core visual of the stage.
The designer built a highly recognizable hexagonal lighting array that embodies stability, strength, and expansiveness through rhythmic light sequencing. Multi-layered LED matrices and programmable systems enabled seamless transitions across modes to match each performance — shifting from linear arrangements to radial or concentric structures. The overhead hexagonal light clusters dynamically adjusted in brightness and angles in sync with the music, forming fluid geometric compositions that gave every performance its own distinct rhythm of light and shadow.
The design also balanced on-site experience and broadcast presentation through precise control of light ratios and layered color schemes, enhancing spatial depth and visual dimensionality. With precision and rhythm as its foundation, the design successfully merged technological aesthetics with artistic expression, setting a new benchmark for music award stages.
Sustainability ApproachAs the most prestigious event in the Mandarin music industry, the Golden Melody Awards stage embodies both artistic mastery and environmental responsibility. In 2025, the lighting system adopted 100% high-efficiency LED sources and modular equipment, minimizing material waste during setup. All fixtures were designed for detachment and reuse, extending their lifecycle across future productions. A smart programming control system enabled real-time power optimization, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. Power zoning, low-carbon logistics, and optimized rigging layouts further reduced the carbon footprint throughout setup and dismantling.
The stage was more than a showcase of light and form — it was a manifestation of the Golden Melody Awards’ commitment to sustainability, turning cultural celebration into an active force for green transformation.
