Entry Description

Nido de Luce is a floor lamp inspired by the curved shape of eggs. This design seeks to maintain an organic line at all times, with the majority of the lamp being hollow, giving it a lightweight, simple, and elegant appearance. Additionally, to emphasize the idea of the egg, the light is placed in the center, simulating the egg yolk, which helps to create a counterbalance to keep it stable despite its light weight.
Sustainability Approach

The lamp is made up of two main materials. The shape of the lamp is made up of only aluminium from recycled cans. The exterior has a matte finish, and the interior has a shiny and luxurious finish using a polishing system. In addition, the aluminium makes it possible to turn on the lamp by gently touching the back of the lamp with your hand. Finally, the bulb is made up of a sphere of recycled glass with an opaque finish that diffuses the light so as not to dazzle, and inside there is an LED bulb to provide light.
