Expert is a practical and straightforward dynamic lighting control solution. At the heart of the system is Expert Control – a single, reliable set-and-forget controller with simple configuration and guided programming.
Expert Control is a compact DIN rail unit with out-of-the-box test modes and installation-friendly connectors. With DMX, DALI and a couple of convenient contact closures and relays on board, Expert Control provides up to 1024 channels of lighting control – ideal for architectural projects which require the benefits of dynamic movement and colour in a cost-effective and practical package.
Natively integrating both DMX and DALI in a single control solution is extremely beneficial, seamlessly outputting to both protocols to allow designers to manage all lighting in the space at once. Furthermore, Expert can adjust DMX control in response to DALI commands.
Expert Control works in perfect harmony with the product family’s commissioning software, Expert, guiding users through setting up and creating their lighting design using helpers and clear, easy to follow processes. This new programming platform for Windows and macOS is designed from scratch to provide just the tools needed, including an innovative way of scheduling and triggering lighting based around an intuitive canvas-based approach.

Sustainability Approach

Our sustainable approach starts the moment the box is opened, with all Expert hardware shipping in fully recyclable packaging. Expert software provides many tools to program lighting efficiently, such as programming by Spaces, which allows programming in specific zones and areas of activity. Setting the location means Expert can respond to local sunrise and sunset times throughout the year, so that Scenes can be scheduled to ensure the right light is delivered at the right time.
Expert is a reliable long-life, low power solution, with tools to enable lighting to come on only when required, and only at the levels needed to save power and avoid light pollution. Add the Pharos Cloud,, a secure, remote access and management solution, and you also reduce the environmental impact of follow-up site visits.
