Entry DescriptionPurpose:
This project is a private residence designed for a wine collector who often hosts friends and family. The goal is to balance personal and social needs and enhance communication.
Functionality:
The property spans four floors above ground and one below, featuring a wine cellar, restaurant, underground barbecue room, billiards room, audio-visual entertainment room, bedrooms, and a cloakroom, among other functional spaces.
Design Concept:
a. Inclusivity and Harmony of the Circle:
The circle symbolizes completeness and harmony, reflecting the Chinese philosophical concept of "unity of heaven and humanity." In this design, the circle is not only a revered totem but its application in lighting design also explores the connection between space and emotional needs. For instance, the wine cellar and dining area use circular and tiered lighting designs to provide uniform and comfortable illumination, emphasizing continuity and harmony in the space.
b. Integration of Natural Elements:
Inspired by the beauty of nature, water droplet art installations symbolize the flow of life, bringing vitality to the space. The lighting design in the corridors and underground barbecue room employs streamlined, concealed lighting fixtures to create a dynamic and intimate environment, making each space vibrant and full of life.
Sustainability ApproachFunctional sustainability:
The project spans four floors above ground and one below, featuring a wine cellar, restaurant, underground barbecue room, billiards room, audio-visual entertainment room, bedrooms, and a cloakroom, among other multifunctional spaces.
