Entry Description

"Miraflora lumica," inspired by the Mimosa pudica, combines nature and technology to create an interactive lighting experience. The name blends “Mira” (miracle) and “Flora” (plant), highlighting the plant’s magical responsiveness, while “Lumica” (luminous) emphasizes its radiant glow.

This innovative design lets users control leaf movements and light modulation through touch, mirroring the Mimosa’s sensitivity. Adjust brightness and color temperature in real-time, forging a unique connection between the user and the lamp.

The minimalist design echoes the elegance of plant structures with sleek lines. A soft, ambient glow from the embedded light source illuminates spaces and casts intricate patterns. Touch sensitivity is key: single touches open or close the leaves and adjust brightness, while double taps switch between 4500K and 6500K, simulating natural light cycles.

"Miraflora lumica" goes beyond being a mere lamp. It’s a statement on the future of lighting, merging functionality with environmental awareness. This design invites users to engage with nature meaningfully, transforming lighting into a sensory journey that deepens our connection to the living world.
Sustainability Approach

Our Interactive Lighting Product embodies our commitment to sustainability, focusing on climate action, circular economy, and environmental stewardship. We use WS2812B LED bulbs for low energy consumption, reducing the product's carbon footprint and extending its lifespan. The hinge clip mechanism allows easy bulb replacement, promoting reuse and embracing the circular economy by conserving resources.

The lamp’s shell, made from PLA, biodegradable plastic from renewable resources, reduces fossil fuel dependence and decomposes into soil-enhancing components. This approach aligns with the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, reflecting our dedication to minimizing environmental impact.

By integrating energy efficiency, promoting reuse, and using eco-friendly materials, our design is a commitment to a more sustainable future.
