Entry DescriptionThe lighting composition 'Mini MOOD' is one of two compositions, namely 'Mini Mood' and 'Mood'. The purpose and design principles of light compositions are similar; only their sizes and the compositions themselves differ. Primary goal in designing these lamps was to enable every interior owner to become an artist who can craft compositions of varying colors and shapes using light. This can be tailored to their mood or the day-night cycle. For example, cold shades might energize the body in the morning, while warm tones that mimic sunset could provide calm and relaxation in the evening. The purpose of these light compositions is to create a unique and flexible experience, allowing everyone to tailor their own space according to their inner emotions and biological rhythms. Also, to add more colors to interiors by changing dominant and complementary colors as desired. While the lamp maintains a minimalist appearance during the day, it transforms when lit, with colors emerging and altering the visual size of the lamp. This enables the creation of numerous unique light compositions by adjusting the positions of the light source or the plexiglass inserts. These light compositions were created as master's theses.
Sustainability ApproachThe base of the lamp composition is crafted from sustainable and easily recyclable materials, such as painted, milled MDF board with a wood veneer and interchangeable plexiglass parts in various colors and shapes. Although compositions can be created from many different plexiglass parts, some of them are so small in size that various plexiglass scraps can be used to make them. The light source is a flexible, narrow-angle 3000K LED lamp.
