Entry DescriptionInspired by the lecture hall's rich “sound memories”, our design concept “The Sound of Bamboo Rhythms”, atmospheric space that captures the essence of bamboo culture. It encompasses:
-The sound of education by the teacher communicate with student
-The sound of knowledge from multi-dimensional open courses
-The sound of joyful when entertainment activities such as opening ceremonies and artistic performances
Focus and Fun Coexist
The stage is the center of the entire lecture hall, and the audience faces the stage directly when visitors from the entrance. The gradual spatial color light experience strategy, with brightness gradually darkening from the entrance to the stage, allows the audience's vision to better focus on the center of the stage, forming a good visual guidance.
Structurally, we have weakened the serious and rigid form of the original building's main beam ceiling, allowing circular slice tube lights to be arranged in an orderly manner on the ceiling. Looking up not only expands the space of imagination but also forms the rhythm of the bamboo language in sound. The hard package sound-absorbing material on the wall is cut into a beam shape by lines, and it is matched with the warm orange and yellow on the back of the chair, making the space atmosphere lively and stable.
Sustainability ApproachThe lecture hall at Zhuyuan Elementary School merges sustainability with thoughtful design, creating an acoustically superior and visually dynamic space. Sustainability is integrated into every aspect, emphasizing the circular economy, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly materials.
Energy Efficiency: Circular downlights with LED technology reduce energy use by 40%, and natural ventilation minimizes reliance on HVAC.
Acoustics and Aesthetics: Sound-absorbing, recycled materials reflect the bamboo music theme, while walls and ceilings balance sound and sustainability.
Color and Lighting: Gradual color transitions and low-VOC paints focus attention and improve air quality. Staggered ceiling lights create a rhythmic ambiance, reflecting the school’s eco-conscious commitment.
