Everyone might have his or her own unique childhood memory about food, and Tang Hulu (a snack that traditionally consists of hawthorn fruit glazed in hard candy and skewered on a 20-centimeter-long bamboo stick) is one of the most popular delicacy that carries sweet memory reminded by hawking on the street. Inspired by its shape, we design Tang Hulu Floor Lamp in hope of reminds childhood memory and make it visual at home.
We use metal and creamy white glass to show the shape of Tang Hulu, not only displaying interesting style of modern lamps but also narrowing the gap between people and objects, people and light, and people and design. We adopt step dimming based on the concept of "customize light". As for the lamp holder, we give it a triangular cone shape, which visually achieve a balance with the glass sphere on the ceiling. Despite its shape, it takes up less space and becomes unobtrusive.
Tang Hulu floor lamp is an innovation by Msol Studio in home lighting environment. It is no longer a traditional static lamp, but a multi-functional and interactive home decoration. Three independent detachable glass bulbs are connected, allowing users to choose bulbs as needed.One light bulb is perfect when users read books or enjoy a glass of wine sitting on the floor.Two light bulbs create a proper ambience for friends chatting with lamp’s height same as large furniture.
