Entry DescriptionThere’s two design elements necessary in every interior space – exceptional lighting and acoustics. Kurtain delivers with a stylish, functional, and eco-friendly acoustic lighting solution. The fixture’s gracefully draped design, inspired by flowing curtains, features soft, wave-like folds crafted from sustainable Camira Blazer wool. Available in 3 sizes and 77 colors, it seamlessly integrates into offices, healthcare facilities, educational spaces, and hospitality venues. The acoustic fabric adds warmth and sophistication while significantly reducing noise, promoting a serene environment that enhances well-being and productivity.
Beneath its elegant exterior lies advanced technology—a high-performance, dimmable edge-lit LED panel delivering superior lighting with minimal glare. Optional features like Casambi Bluetooth dimming, POE, and tunable white lighting offer versatile, tailored illumination that supports circadian health. Kurtain excels in acoustic absorption with an NRC of 0.70, and its impressive photometric performance includes a maximum lumen output of 4997 lm and a CRI of 90+. Sustainability ApproachKurtain is a sustainable acoustic lighting solution featuring a shade crafted from 100% Camira Blazer wool. This wool is organic, fully compostable, a LEED Credit Contributor, Indoor Advantage™ 'Gold' certified, EU Ecolabel certified, GIGA rated, biodegradable, and free from PFAS, Prop 65, and AB 2998. The wool’s Environmental Product Declaration underscores its rapid renewability, non-metallic dyestuffs, and green credentials. Kurtain is one of the few lighting fixtures in the industry that can boast a completely compostable shade combined with such high environmental sustainability.
