Entry Description

Grupo Martínez Abolafio commissioned the construction of its first HQ to accommodate a uniquely flexible workspace environment. We worked closely with the architects and interior designers to provide seamless architectural lighting to meet the meticulously detailed design language of the project, and create a more familiar and intimate environment, jut like its founders.

The lighting design project reveals the values of freedom, truthfulness and sustainability. Warm light is incorporated into circulation areas, meeting rooms and work spaces, generating an atmosphere that domesticates the concept of a conventional office. Linear and indirect lighting hidden in trays, recesses and linear profiles guides us throughout the building, where neutral colours, soft textures and wood finishes stand out.

Different types of dual-emission floor luminaires are proposed on the work spaces that range between technique and design. This commitment to the bidirectionality of the beam expands the spatial sensation and avoids shadows and contrasts in the space. Spot lights with high visual comfort complete the lighting proposal, balancing the illuminance and uniformity of each of the rooms.

The upper contours are outlined with lines of light accompanied by artificial skylights that emanate and are part of a design promoting the well-being of the worker.
Sustainability Approach

In the Grupo Martínez Abolafio HQ project we have worked on the following sustainability practices:

Climate action:
- The implementation of intelligent management systems that contribute to more efficient use of energy.

Circular Economy:
-Flexible design that allows in case of the reorganization of the work spaces to move the floor luminaires without redoing the lighting design or electrical installation.

Corporate Social Responsibility:
- Prescription of material almost entirely of national product, thus reducing the carbon footprint and promoting research and development in the country.
