Entry Description

Yilan Park of the National Center for Traditional Arts's Summer Lantern Festival, inspired by the Qixi Festival, transformed the park into a vibrant wonderland with five key lighting installations.

"Misty Forest" blends light and fog to create a mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere, immersing visitors in a timeless love story.

Inspired by the legend of Niulang and Zhinu, "Heartbeat Magpie Bridge" uses computer-controlled lighting to recreate the romantic scene of magpies flying over the bridge.

"Shimmering Fish Tunnel" features a 65-meter-long installation where light reflections create the illusion of two fish meeting across parallel universes.

"Wishing Blue Tears" includes nearly 1,200 color-changing light spheres along the Moon River, simulating bioluminescent tears and representing individual wishes.

"We Sweet Wishing Bamboo Forest" invites visitors to hang their wish cards on bamboo, creating a living installation filled with hopes and dreams.

These installations beautifully capture the romance and magic of summer nights at Yilan Park, offering an unforgettable experience.
Sustainability Approach

Energy Efficiency:
Each lighting installation uses energy-efficient LED technology, significantly reducing energy consumption compared to traditional lighting methods. The long lifespan of LED fixtures reduces the need for frequent replacements, thereby minimizing waste.

Low Carbon Footprint:
By choosing local materials and suppliers from Yilan, the project reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation. Additionally, the use of LED technology and smart lighting control systems ensures minimal energy consumption, further reducing the environmental impact of the project.

Environmental Integration:
The lighting installations are carefully integrated into the natural environment of Yilan Park, ensuring minimal disruption to the ecosystem. The design process included an analysis of potential environmental impacts, with measures taken to protect the surrounding flora and fauna.
