Entry DescriptionHONGAN LAKE ART CENTER locates by the natural lake of Hongan, a northern city in HUBEI province. The architecture takes the shape of the most famous Chinese traditional building Huanghe Pagoda, three continuous big roof represents the spirits of the local culture. The lighting designers use the flood lights onto the roof. Not only reduce the massiveness of the roof at night .but also echo the beautiful of nature sky as the sun goes down, It was remarked as the most beautiful sunset in HONGAN. In order to add more artistic feature to the building , the designers put the linear RGBW fixture by the two impressive windows inside. Through controlling systems, the two windows gives the different color and atmosphere to this art center.
The inside of the Art center has two floors with different functions. Lighting designers use the warm light to create the comfortable ambient lightings for the first floor. Gigantic bookshelves were lit up softly with all the fixtures carefully hidden. People can have enough light for reading without the disturbance of the dazzling light.
The balance of the facade lighting and inside lighting make this art center the most remarkable place in Hongan.
Sustainability ApproachIn the lighting design,we use soft lighting to give a gentle light for the roof and façade,expressing the integration of architecture and natural landscape. the lighting design did not use too many lighting fixtures.There is no diffracted light to the environment or sky.Dark sky is very important in the beautiful places like Honan.
The use exterior lighting control system make the different mode of lighting scene possible,Especially the Energy-saving mode.The multifunctional pole takes care of different fixtures including surveillance carmeras.
The carefully organized light circuit make the inner space energy saving and cozy.
All the light sources are energy-saving LED lights, reducing energy consumption greatly.
