Entry DescriptionThe Begawan Biji, inspired by traditional "wantilan" architecture, aims to create a warm and inviting ambiance while maintaining a stunning visual appeal. The lighting design is thoughtfully divided into two main areas: the "Crown," which features subtle uplighting for a touch of understated grandeur, and the "Body," designed with soft, indirect lighting at eye level to enhance comfort.
Throughout the project, we faced challenges due to the wooden structure. Collaborating closely with architects, we carefully concealed cables to preserve the aesthetic integrity. The operator's preference for manual dimmers required us to meticulously plan the lighting groupings to adapt to various occasions, ensuring the perfect ambiance.
Another hurdle was the need to maintain consistent specifications; we custom-designed diffusers for the main dining area’s spotlights to minimize glare. Every detail mattered, as we aimed to foster a harmonious environment where guests could appreciate the restaurant’s humble surroundings. As they walk from the parking area, we want them to feel a seamless blend of tradition and modern comfort, inviting them into an extraordinary dining experience.
Sustainability ApproachTo support a sustainable lighting design, we’ve implemented LED modules throughout the entire property. This choice not only reduces energy consumption but also enhances the overall efficiency of our lighting system. For interior areas, we selected fixtures that offer higher lumens per watt, ensuring maximum brightness with minimal energy use.
Additionally, we installed a timed lighting system for the exterior, optimizing usage based on natural light and activity levels. By carefully calculating and choosing our fixtures, we create a bright, inviting atmosphere while significantly lowering our environmental impact. This commitment to sustainability reflects our dedication to both quality and responsibility, providing a welcoming space that is mindful of energy conservation.
