Entry Description

Willibaldsburg Castle in Eichstätt, a historical jewel from the 14th century, shines in a new light. The innovative exterior lighting not only highlights the castle's architectural splendor, but also pays tribute to its historical significance. The lighting combines state-of-the-art lighting technology with a deep respect for the history and aesthetics of the building. It emphasizes the striking towers, the mighty walls and the intricate details of the façades, creating a harmonious interplay of light and shadow. The spotlights are equipped with precise optics that enable targeted illumination of the architectural details without outshining the surroundings.
In addition to the façade lighting, the inner courtyard now also appears in new splendor. The subtle illumination of the façade of the Schaumberg building and the ruined remains of the walls creates a unique atmosphere that emphasizes the historical significance and architectural beauty of this place.
By cleverly integrating the lighting into the traffic routes and open spaces, the light is gently reflected across the surfaces, creating a harmonious and atmospheric overall picture. The warm white LEDs with a color temperature of 2700 Kelvin provide an inviting yet respectful setting for the historic structures.
