Entry DescriptionThe fashion brand Zeus + Dione, presented the Resort 24 collection, at an abandoned pier in Piraeus with an astonishing background of the Hellas Liberty, a floating ship museum.
Functional and artistic lighting was focused to illuminate the catwalk showcasing the models and their attire. Along the runway edges spotlights were adjusted to bring out all the details as well as the textures of the clothes. Interesting diagonal shadows of their bodies were casting on the floor creating a repetitive pattern as the models walked through the catwalk. Along with the movement of the models and the music, dynamic lighting effects were enhanced as changes in intensity and color during key moments of the show. The beams of light were visible as hazers were used to demarcate the space and to create an atmosphere full of mystery, as if the models are coming through another space. Backlighting was utilized to outline the models and add depth to their presence on the catwalk. The rest of the landscape and surrounding buildings were lit with warm and neutral colours in order to create an interesting contrast and to enhance the atmosphere. Lighting from the inside was giving the essence that the old tower buildings were revived.
The lighting design achieved to create a harmony between fashion, textures and the dystopian scenic, creating an unforgettable and ethereal experience for the guests.
