Entry Description

Hospitals can be a scary place, especially for a child. This lobby was created to relieve anxiety from both patient and parent. Regressed lens linear lights were used to minimize glare and provide general illumination so as when your eye travels upward to see all the beautiful way-finding and art hanging from the ceiling it not only captures your imagination but enhances visual comfort. 2&4 inch recessed down lights are strategically used to highlight the elements in mid-flight but also to not highlight the suspension strings. Wallwashers are used along the walls to proudly display the key donors that made this lobby possible. The center pendant is an 18' decorative fixture that helps light the space and provide wonder to all who enter.A cove light was added at the last minute around the entire lobby to highlight the cloud like sheetrock structures that tie the entire lobby together.
