Entry DescriptionIn contrast with the modern angularity of OMA/Buro: Ole Scheeren's prestigious MahaNakhon Tower, David Collins Studio has designed an oasis in Bangkok, home in the sky.
Accommodating the various cultural tastes of international as well as local Thai residents, the challenge was to provide an architectural and atmospheric lighting design that allows for a bright and spacious look during the daytime and a cosy elegant feel at night-time. Across three amenity floors, illumination and lighting details were folded into the interior design that were carefully selected and treated as equally with luxurious materials and furnishings catering to the different environments.
The private Residents’ Lobby acts as a luxurious welcome reception and lounge area with a grand walkway to the VIP lifts that access the apartments and amenity floors set on Level 7 for the pool deck, wellness centre and extended residents’ lounges.
The Lounge and Bar areas at Level 54 offer stunning panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline, from early morning to late night. Meeting rooms and additional seating areas allow residents the comfort of working within an exclusively designed environment.
Through fresh daytime lighting to cosy evenings to late-night drama, the lighting is threaded into the spaces and details, adding to the rich and luxurious signature quality of the Ritz Carlton brand.
