Entry Description

The NoMad London Hotel is situated in the heart of Covert Garden opposite the Royal Opera House. The Grade II listed building which was formally the Bow Street Magistrates Court and Police station has been developed into a luxury hotel.

The lighting is a perfect balance between the celebration of the grand Victorian architecture with its generous ceiling heights while creating an intimacy and warmth for the guests to experience.

The architectural lighting throughout the front of house spaces including the Reception, Atrium, Magistrate’s Ballroom, and 3 Bars were delivered by a combination of technical architectural lighting and decorative lighting - a mixture of original heritage pieces and bespoke purposed made luminaires.

The NoMad brand is all about transporting guests away from the world outside by creating a haven to retreat to. Lighting is used to bring out the richly layered interiors to create the drama and comfort the hotel deserve.
