Entry DescriptionRecognizing that the greatest luxuries are often time with loved ones and a legacy to pass on, this stunning custom home in Mexico’s exclusive Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas spares no expense in the name of quality and connection.
The seeming simplicity of the residence belies an extraordinarily complex design. Lighting in this expansive home is largely felt, but not seen, using hidden details and trimless fixtures.
Ambient lighting set into architectural elements creates a restorative experience in suites for the 1st and 2nd generations. For the younger generation, a color-changing slot fixture evocative of an ocean wave adds a bit of whimsy.
Custom solutions abound – from the home’s theater to submersed path lighting. Equal attention was paid to the exterior, where a lighting plan was devised for each plant in the landscape to show it to its best advantage. Close coordination was required throughout between the U.S.-based lighting designer and the on-site teams in Mexico.
The result is an exquisite home ready to serve as the backdrop for family memories for generations to come.
