Entry DescriptionThis showroom is an immersive experiential centre for lighting solutions. It was not only designed for viewing and sales of products, but also for education and networking for the design community.
Light fixtures are well-integrated, with emphasis on the interior design, lighting effects and applications, rather than fixtures. Visitors experience a spatial and lighting journey – café, hotel, meeting room and luminaire library – each with tailored lighting design rather than mere viewing of products.
The lighting applications demonstrated technologies like warm dim, tunable white and motorised lights. Together with preset lighting control, these demonstrate to visitors how the luminaires can enhance lighting experience and usage.
Showcasing motorised lighting, the café’s flexible layout can be transformed for dining, meetings and seminars. A simulated hotel room demonstrates lighting design attuned to circadian rhythms.
The design team’s challenge was having to understand 200 over lighting products and designing applications such visitors can appreciate their benefits. In the luminaire library we designed and organised product families such that visitors can play with them easily.
