Entry DescriptionShishido Hills Country Club has a beautiful undulating course that blends into the rich nature. Located about an hour from Tokyo, the club offers players time away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the stress of everyday life. We are involved in lighting design for renovation of Spa, or Onsen facility in such a clubhouse. The ceiling cypress lattices that continue from the dressing room to the bathroom creates a clear axis that leads to the outside of the window, creating a sense of unity between the interior and exterior spaces. The light embedded in the furniture gently fills the space. The faint scent of cypress reminds us of contact with rich nature and soothes the player's day after the round.
