Entry Description

Joy Breeze uses the wind as a source of design inspiration, creating a complementary connection between the building and the natural elements. When exposed to the wind, the wind chimes can wave with a natural and changeable flow. We hope that this natural and beautiful scene will stay on the red building.
Taking the box as an example, the lighting design has enough flood light on the facade to fully express the volume and color of this landmark, so that they can be seen from a distance. At the street scale, the lattice indirect light is designed glowing from the wind chimes inside. The light is dancing and sparkling in the wind, so that the light, wind chimes curtain wall and the city wind will leave a deep and unique impression on every visitor’s mind. During holidays, the lighting can display variable scenes with different contents, patterns and dynamic performances according to different demands and activities. So that people will have an excellent experience to interact with buildings via lighting.
Furthermore, lighting needs to play an important role to connect with the regular facades with the key spaces such as the landmark, main entrance, activity square and sunken courtyard.
When it’s late at night, the city becomes quiet. The lighting on the buildings slowly diminish to minimum until the buildings become a part of the dark night, leaving only the wind ringing around.
