Entry Description

The lighting concept for Bergen Børs Hotel is intended to showcase a place with rich history and a modern touch.
The starting point was discreet and precise integration in historical architecture.
The project demonstrates fine tuned light to enhance atmosphere, materials and interior as well as user experience, while the light sources remain invisible.
Both interior and exterior lighting is integrated seamlessly, blending in with the architecture and bringing out the colors and textures discreetly.
The guest's comfort is ensured through intuitive orientation and spatial readability. Lighting is specific both to function and architectural elements.
The intention was to create an unforgettable atmosphere by subtly enhancing the materials. Interior design uses exclusive materials to show the hotel's status and the lighting is focused on highlighting them.
In order to preserve some of the historic features of the interior, existing historical pendants were refurbished with LED and reused.
