Entry DescriptionThe exhibition was held at the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg from June 5 to August 22, 2021
The exhibition featured about 200 items from the collection of the National Museum of Qatar, the collection of the private Museum of Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, as well as Mathaf: the Arab Museum of Modern Art. The chronology of the exhibits covers the 17th – 20th centuries, creating a three-dimensional representation of different periods of Qatari history and culture.
The uniqueness of the culture of Qatar is mediated by its special geographical position in the center of the intersection of the trade routes of the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula.
The fusion of desert and sea was reflected in the illumination of the main fabric, fixed between the 1st and 2nd floor
