Entry Description

Located in Lujiazui Harbour City by the Huangpu River, Gala Avenue Westside is an urban complex destination redeveloped from the former industrial shipyard properties. The new development consists of a 100m tall office tower and 12 interconnected retail villas, offering high-end retail, entertainment, alongside commercial venues.

To create a sense of identity, our lighting concept presents the tower as the ‘central jewel of the shipyard developments’, inspired by the facetted façade. The lighting design reinforces its feature, modelling and accentuating the facets. Warm white lighting used for the building envelope contrast against the cool white lighting in the office floors. The tower atrium and podium are also illuminated in warm white, combining the sparkle of the ‘jewel’ and the glow of the ‘lantern’ to welcome the visitors after dark. Linear fixtures are concealed & integrated within the façade system, and the reflected light on the angled facets enhances the three-dimensionality of the custom façade design.

Whether viewing from across the river or nearby, Gala Avenue Westside is a unique focal point in its surroundings, glowing elegantly to reflect the gem it is.
