The meandering movement of the light on the textures transports you to another era. Here, the light of a candle was enough. Less is more in the new lighting of Fort Victoria Chica, as it draws our attention to the most significant facts, while guiding the visitor on a visual and "magical" tour of Fort Victoria Chica in Melilla.

Fort Victoria Chica de Melilla is located in the Fourth Fortified Enclosure of Melilla, alongside two other forts. It was the first to be built on what is known as the Height of the Cube, a strategic military area and the highest point in Melilla. The area was occupied by surprise in 1734, and its construction began, albeit with many transformations due to armament needs. In the 20th century, it lost its military function and was abandoned. This was the beginning of its degradation until it reached a ruinous state.

The architect in charge of the renovation project, Ms Ana Viñas, aims to create new routes for people to gain further insight into the history of the Fort and its transformations and listen to what the fort has to tell.
